Held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, this initiative specifically reached out to the hardworking individuals who keep our residential complexes running safely every day. The camp was dedicated to the security guards, cleaning staff, house maids, and drivers working within the Hiranandani Meadows complex, providing them with professional medical attention that they might otherwise struggle to access. This vital health drive was carried out in association with Shree Ramkrishna Netralaya, a renowned super-speciality eye care hospital that has been serving the Thane community since 2003. For Thane, he is not just a renowned artist but one of their own. In his later years, he lived and worked in the city, enriching its cultural life. Even today, Palsikar remains a source of pride, reminding Thane of its legacy of influential artists and thinkers. The Draft Development Plan prepared by the Thane Municipal Corporation for the city of Thane clearly shows that parking has become a serious urban problem. The number of vehicles in the city has increased rapidly in recent years. However, the availability of proper parking spaces has not increased at the same pace. As a result, vehicles are often parked on the roadside. This reduces the effective width of roads and slows down traffic movement. To understand the seriousness of the situation, the Municipal Corporation conducted an On-Street Parking Survey in different parts of the city. The aim of this survey was to measure the demand for parking and identify the areas where parking pressure is the highest. A key indicator used in the survey is the Parking Index. This index shows how much of the available parking capacity is already being used.
